Top Korean Dramas to Watch in September 2019

And September is back with all kinds of new dramas for us k-drama fans to look forward to. In this wrap-up we will list all the Korean dramas that are coming in September 2019. Some of them are already airing, so check them out.

UPCOMING KOREAN DRAMAS IN SEPTEMBER:

1. When the Camellia Blooms

When the Camellia Blooms is a romantic comedy featuring top actress Gong Hyo Jin where she will play a single mother who gets involved with three different men: a good one, a bad one, and a cheap one, and she has to tackle new challenges to decide who is right for her or who is not. Get ready to unlock the mystery and thriller of this show, but you have to wait till 18 September.

2. Vagabond

A long-awaited on-screen couple of Lee Seung Gi and Suzy is back, and fans can’t stop talking about them. The story of Vagabond revolves around a stunt man (Lee Seung Gi), who somehow ends up in the middle of political maze because he tries to expose national corruption, and an NIS agent (Suzy) will help him investigates the case with her intelligence and experience.

Vagabond is scheduled to premiere September 20.

3. Melting Me Softly

 

Melting Me Softly is a rom-com that will not fail to hypnotize you with the mind-blowing chemistry of the protagonists and a thrilling life-changing adventure. A variety show PD (Ji Chang Wook) and a part-time worker (Won Jin Ah) took part in a project where they were supposed to be frozen for 24 hours, but they instead wake up 20 years later. What really happened?  Follow the drama and get ready for non-stop enthralling twists and turns in Won and Ji Chang’s lives.

4. The Tale of Nokdu (Mung Bean  Chronicles)

The Tale of Nokdu depicts the story of a young man (Jang Dong Yoon) who has to disguise himself as a woman to escape from an arranged marriage. He starts a new life in a community of women, where he helps a young woman who hates to become a gisaeng. This show is going to on-air on September 30 on KBS channel.

5. Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency

Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency is about a King (Seo Ji Hoon), who wants some professionals to groom his first love (Gong Seung Yeon), and he meets Flower Crew dating agency. King asks flower crew professionals to protect and teach how to behave well in social gatherings, and how to act like a noble lady. Will they succeed in their task? Watch this delightful show to know.

Flower Crew is scheduled to premiere on September 16.

6. Secret Boutique

Secret Boutique is about a young woman Jenny Jang who works as a house helper for a rich family. Later, she becomes successful and runs her own boutique. She also starts working as a political lobbyist. Later, Jenny gets involved in an international city development project. It is a story of woman power and the corrupt upper echelon.

Secret Boutique is to air on September 18.

7. Miss Lee

Miss Lee follows the story of a bright young woman, Lee Sun-Sim (Hyeri), who starts out at the bottom of  a food company, but suddenly finds herself becoming the CEO, as she puts her efforts in saving her company from the financial crisis.

 

CURRENTLY AIRING DRAMAS IN SEPTEMBER:

Arthdal Chronicles (Part 3)

One of the hottest K-dramas, Arthdal Chronicles, is returning with its third and the last part. Based on mythical land of Arth, Arthdal Chronicles is all about power, and you can call it an Asian version of games of the throne. With a star cast of Song Joong Ki, Jang Dong-Gun, Kim Ok-Vin, and Kim Ji Won, the story revolves around the heroes of the land of Arth who do every possible stunt to get the power and to keep it.

In the third part, you will see more action, fantasy, and thriller as Ta Gon (Jang Dong-Gun) has got what he wanted from the beginning, and he uses Tanya (Kim Ji Won) for his struggle, but will he keep the throne for a lifetime, or will Eun Seom (Song Joong Ki) fight back again? .

Graceful Family

Heo Yoon-Do (Lee Jang-Woo) is a lawyer who joins  the TOP Team at MC Group to supervise the activities of the company owner’s family members. The task of the team is to cover up illicit behaviors done by the family. The only daughter of the company owner, Mo Seok-Hee (Lim Soo-Hyang) takes the help of Heo Yoon-Do to find the killer of her mother.

The Great Show

A former National Assembly member (Song Seung Heon) who has a failed his political career, confronts trouble when an 18-year-old young girl comes to his life along with her three siblings. According to the young lady, he is her father, and he should accept her.

Strangers from Hell

Strangers from Hell is a thriller that follows the story of  a small town young man(Im Siwan) who moves to Seoul  for a better job, as  encounters various strange things in his new apartment building. He also meets a dentist who helps him in solving the mysteries.

Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung

Set during the 19th century,  Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung revolves around a young woman who is to become a palace historian. She faces prejudice because it was not acceptable for women to write historical records. However, she consistently and honestly fulfills her duties as a historian. She gets involved with a lonely prince(Cha Eun Woo) who lives a double life as a novelist.

Hotel Del Luna

A supernatural drama revolves around a young  beautiful woman (IU) who is stuck running a mysterious and haunted hotel because of her past mistake. She hires a man (Yeo Jin-Goo) as the manager. He looks arrogant, but he is soft-hearted and a perfectionist on his work. So, what will happen when he finds out the truth about the hotel?

When the Devil Calls Your Name

Ha Rib (Jung Kyoung-Ho) is a songwriter who sold his soul to the devil to become successful. However, when the time comes to keep his end of the bargain and he also finds out his success is a result of taking a woman’s (Lee Seol) talent, he struggles hard to restore everything back.

I Wanna Hear Your Song

This rom-com mystery drama is about a timpanist (Hong Yi Young) and a tone-deaf pianist (Jang Yoon). Yi Young witnesses a murder at the orchestra, and she suffers from insomnia after the incident. Later, she meets a Jang Yoon, who is a new tone-deaf pianist at the orchestra, and he helps her in sleeping with his awful singing, but it also helps Yi Young in remembering about murder incidents.

Welcome 2 Life

Welcome 2 life is about a successful lawyer (Rain) , who only works for his benefits, but one day, he meets an accident and ends up in a parallel universe, where he’s now an ethical prosecutor. He struggles to solve the mystery of two different lives.

Be Melodramatic (Melo is My Nature)

A rom-com follows three woman’s work and love lives. They are Im Jin Joo, who is a drama writer, Lee Eun Jung, who works as a documentary director, and Hwang Han Joo who is the head of a marketing team for a drama production company.

Justice

Justice revolves around a multi-talented lawyer sets out for revenge after losing his family. He starts dealing with clients who are from the elite class, and partners with a corrupt businessman.

Moment of Eighteen

Moment of Eighteen follows the stories of three 18-year-old high school students. Transfer student Choi Jun Woo has no interest in school life and always stays at a distance from everyone. He is a ‘bad student’ in every one’s eyes. However, one of his classmates, Yu Soo Bin, finds a soft and innocent person in him. Meanwhile class president Hui Yeong Hui Yeong has a crush on Yu Soo Bin.

Doctor John

Doctor John is a medical drama about the struggle of two doctors (Lee Se Young and Ji Sung) who are working in a pain department to find out the root cause of their patients’ pain.

Doctor Detective

Do Jung Eun works as an industrial health doctor. She tries to uncover the truth related to industrial accidents and diseases that take place at industrial sites. While his ex-husband, chaebol heir Choi Tae-Young (Lee Ki-Woo), who has no ambition in his life, wants to get her back.  The show will look at the dark side of society.

    Ji Sung is sooo hot & charesmatic , he’s really smart to choose this kind of dramas with an interesting and sensitive topics
